Working Principle

The LT3013HFE#TRPBF voltage regulator utilizes a reference voltage source, an error amplifier and an output current limiting circuit with a current mirror current source. The core of the voltage regulator is a voltage error amplifier which senses the output voltage of the regulator. The voltage error amplifier is also configured so that it operates with a closed loop when in regulation.
