The MCP616-I is an instrumentation amplifier (INA) designed for use in industrial, medical, scientific and automotive applications. The INA amplifies the difference between two input signals, generally referred to as the input differential voltage. The MCP616-I is designed to operate from a single supply voltage of 3V to 28V, with a maximum gain of up to one hundred times the input differential voltage. The MCP616-I is available in a anhermetic 8-LEAD Ceramic Dual-In-Line (C-DIP) package and also in a high-density 16-LEAD microSMT package.
The MCP616-I has a programmable gain of up to 100. It provides excellent accuracy and noise rejection, with a minimum CMRR (common mode rejection ratio) of 95 dB. The amplifier also features extremely low power consumption and fast response time thanks to its low input current and low input bias current. It also has excellent input and output impedance, allowing it to drive capacitive loads without any additional external components. The MCP616-I also provides excellent thermal and mechanical stability.
