The JANTX1N6137A is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode specifically designed to reduce the voltage supplied to a system. The JANTX1N6137A combines superior performance and a rugged U-280 package to offer enhanced protection against transient over-voltages.The JANTX1N6137A is designed to operate in excess of 200 volts, dissipating in excess of 200 watts of pulse power. Its ability to dissipate a high pulse power makes it ideal for suppressing transients up to 400volts of peakage. Its robust surge current capability allows the diode to handle high inrush currents commonly present during the startup of devices such as motors.The JANTX1N6137A is designed with an integrated ESD protection circuit that prevents the diode from being damaged due to ESD events. It is also designed to provide a steady current limiting when a sudden surge of voltage is introduced, allowing for controlled current flow even during high-voltage events. This makes the diode ideal for use in systems that require reliable protection from transient over-voltage threats.The JANTX1N6137A also features an integrated anti-parallel diode that helps to enhance its clamping effectiveness.
