It is available in a convenient through-hole package with a variety of sizes and ratings to meet the demands of various applications.The LAQ2P821MELC40 is a Two Lead Radial Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor. It is composed of solid aluminum anode foil, a separator paper filled with electrolyte, and a metalized cathode film. It offers superior temperature and long term reliability. This capacitor is suitable for use with power supplies and other high current applications.The LAQ2P821MELC40 is capable of handling high temperatures up to 150°C with a maximum working voltage of 25V, allowing for a wide variety of applications. It offers excellent performance in low-frequent to medium-frequent circuits where a high capacitance-to-volume ratio is required.The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on Faraday’s law of electrolysis. An electrical charge is stored in the capacitor by placing two conductive plates in a liquid electrolyte solution. The aluminum anode foil acts as a positive electrode and the separator paper acts as a semi-permeable barrier between the anode and cathode materials. When a DC voltage is applied to the capacitor, aluminum ions in the electrolyte solution move to the anodic plate while electrons flow from the anode to the cathode within the capacitor, creating a charge.
