BK/GMT-DUMMY application field and working principle
BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses belong to the electrical specialty fuses. They are mainly used in instrument control circuits, lighting circuits, power distribution, power capacitor protection, power supply, motor and other kinds of circuit protection and control.
BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses are mainly divided into two different categories: the round type and the blade type. This classification is based on the shape and size of the fuse, and whether it has fuse clips. The round type is a traditional fuse type and is generally more difficult to install. On the other hand, blade type fuses are convenient to install since they come with built-in clips.
How does a BK/GMT-DUMMY Fuse Work?
When electrical current flows through a circuit, the resistance between the two ends of the ignition wire gradually increases. When this resistance reaches a certain value, usually 30 to 50% of the currently flow, the fuses melt and disconnect the circuit. This is how BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses work.
BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses are also made with a variety of materials, depending on the application. Metal mica, ceramic, glass, and Plexiglas are all used for their different applications. Metal mica is the most commonly used material, as it has a good combination of electrical performance and temperature resistance. Ceramic and glass are more often used for temperature resistance, while Plexiglas is commonly used for its low impedance and dielectric strength.
BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses are a crucial part of any electrical wiring system. They provide protection for devices against over-current and short-circuits, and are easy to install. They are inexpensive and easy to obtain, making them an ideal choice for both residential and industrial use.
BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses are an important safety feature for any wiring system. They are used in a variety of areas, such as instrument control circuits, lighting circuits, power-supply distribution and control, motor and capacitor protection, and more.
By using BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses to protect sensitive equipment and devices, time and money can be saved should a short-circuit occur. The fuse prevents current flowing through it and thus protects the device or circuit from potential damage.
By combining temperature resistance and electrical performance, BK/GMT-DUMMY fuses offer excellent protection for devices and circuits. They are also affordable, easy to install, and are available in a variety of shapes and sizes.
