The 30KPA240-B can be applied to overvoltage protection in industrial computer systems, automotive, office equipment, communications and other consumer electronics. It is designed to suppress over-voltage transients caused due to surges in supply voltage and lightning for signals, communication, control and power applications.The 30KPA240-B works as a two-terminal device to protect against voltage transients. It features a Floating Element technology which enables two ultra-low capacitance avalanche diodes to be stacked in a series. This reduces the capacitance of the device and provides a lower profile. The device is fast enough to protect against short term transients created due to power glitches and dips. It also works against long term overvoltage transients created due to lightning strikes.
