SA7.0ARL TVS-Diodes are a type of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) that is commonly used to protect electronics from over-voltage. They are generally used in applications requiring high-frequency, transient-magnitude protection, such as automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and aerospace systems. TVS-Diodes provide a low-impedance path for over-voltage to dissipate while at the same time limiting the peak voltage for the transient.

TVS-Diodes are typically constructed of a semiconductor junction diode with an active element of silicon or gallium. Depending on the application, the diode can be reverse-biased for protection from over-voltage or forward-biased for protection from under-voltage.
