By means of this method, the displacement of a moving body is converted into a signal which can be processed further.The working principle of SP-L-0150-103-3%-RH position sensor consists of two main parts, namely the magnetic circuit and the electro-mechanical circuit. In the magnetic circuit, a variable magnetic field is created by the use of a permanent magnet as a source of magnetic field. The permanent magnet source, also called the first coil, is connected to the armature, which is connected to a movable body that can translate or rotate. The magnetic field created by the first coil is proportional to the displacement of the body and it is then transformed into an electrical signal by the second coil, called the secondary coil. The electrical signal generated by the secondary coil will be generated in the form of alternating currents.In the electro-mechanical circuit, the signal generated by the second coil is further processed in order to accurately measure the displacement. With the help of some other additional components such as amplifiers, filters, etc., the signal generated by the secondary coil is amplified to make sure that the measured signal is accurate and suitable for further processing. When the measured displacement is rotated, the signal generated by the second coil is then used as the feedback signals to the control system and the control system can then take the necessary actions accordingly.Conclusion
