Working Principle

R0.25D12-2409/H is a buck-type non-isolated converter, which works by reducing the input voltage to the AC side to a regulated voltage. It has an inductor, an input filter, a Schottky diode, an output diode, a switching transistor, and a compensation network. When the circuit is working, the switching transistor is used to control the inductor, and the pulse width of the switch is considered to be the pulse width modulating to achieve the desired output voltage. The switching transistor will close at the beginning of the cycle, and the inductor stores energy in its magnetic field. When the transistor is switched off, the stored energy will be released, and flow to the output side of the circuit. An input filter is used to filter the power source and reject noise signals. The output diode helps maintain the output voltage when the switching transistor is switched off, and the Schottky diode helps in reducing the voltage drop across it when the transistor is switched on. The voltage compensation network helps in keeping the output voltage under control by stabilizing the transient response.
