RT9055-MGWSC is an advanced linear voltage regulator that regulates output voltage through an internal channel architecture. On the market, it is widely used in VRMs, HBMs, LDOs and switching converters.It is an advanced linear voltage regulator with an internal channel architecture and is widely used in voltage regulators, HBMs, LDOs, and switching power converters.The RT9055-MGWSC is designed for DC-DC voltage sensing and conversion for bidirectional battery charging in multi-rail systems. Its operating temperature spans from -40℃ to +125℃. Its advantages include high efficiency, fine linearity, low noise, and low EMI.The RT9055-MGWSC is based on a low dropout (LDO) architecture and can take input voltages from 1.2V up to 5.5V. It consists of buck, boost and ideal diode regulation, allowing a conversion ratio of up to 5-to-1. All versions are adjustable and also feature an inhibit pin as well as an over-temperature shutdown circuit that protects its contents from over-heating. The RT9055-MGWSC employs an unequal ON resistance P-MOSFET linear regulator. It is integrated with a range of voltage regulators, each of which regulates output voltage in different ways. These regulators are: the step-down (buck) regulator, the step-up (boost) regulator, and the ideal diode controller.The step-down (buck) regulator is the core component of the RT9055-MGWSC. It takes an input voltage, linearly regulates it, and then provides an output voltage that is regulated to a specific value. It is a simple linear regulator, where power is maintained by drawing current from the input voltage source and then releasing it to the load.The step-up (boost) regulator produces an output voltage that is greater than the input voltage.
