The LM5025MTCX is a smart compact DC/DC controller that offers many features that can improve system performance in an environment where wide operating parameters are experienced. LM5025MTCX is a step-down controller that can be used in applications requiring high efficiency, power density and fast transient response. It features a unique current-mode control scheme for improved dynamic response and robust oscillator slope control for improved line and load regulation performance. It includes over-voltage protection and over-current sense point adjustment capability.

Overview

LM5025MTCX is a monolithic, low dropout regulator (LDOR) controller designed to provide low power and high efficiency power solutions. The LDOR controller combines an adaptive on-time control architecture with intelligent power management, allowing the device to be used in a wide range of applications. It is suitable for use with various types of power sources, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC converter, and wall plug adapters. The LM5025MTCX has a wide input voltage operating range from 2.8 V to 38 V and a wide output voltage range from 0.20 V to 6.5 V. It can output current up to ~5A.
