Power managementintegrated circuit (PMIC), also known as Power Chip, is a devicethat combines several functions of power management intoa single integrated circuit. Among the various power chips, Supervisors,as one of the most important components, are usually usedto regulate and supervise the operation of the circuits andmachines in the entire power system by controlling the workingstate of the device, providing independent reset signals andmonitoring power supply voltages. NCP303LSN34T1G is a linear Supervisors, which is generallyused as a support power supply circuit. It has a minimum operatingvoltage of 2.0V and a maximum operating voltage of 6.25V.It is available in two packages, SOT23-3 and SOT-23-5. On the other hand, LVR is an independentstep-down reset signal when the voltage of the powersupply is too low, and the signal will be set when thevoltage drops below a certain threshold. In addition, thePowerOK signal is issued when the power supply meetsthe requirements, so that the system can control thepower supply status by judging the PowerOK signal.The delayed reset signal consists of two components:assert delay and hold delay.
The structure of NCP303LSN34T1G is like an operationalamplifier, and it can be viewed as a voltage-controlledcomparator. For example, the power-on reset function isrealized by setting a silicon amplifier to the invertinginput terminal of the operational amplifier.
