The EPCQ128SI16N contains 128 Mbits of Flash memory, low power consumption, quad serial configuration, and flexible connection options.The EPCQ128SI16N is an integral part of the FPGA configuration program cycle. It is used to store the bitstream that contains the FPGA configuration data. This data is stored in the EPCQ memory and is used by the FPGA to configure itself on power-up or on command of the system.EPCQ128SI16N works by first loading the serial bitstream into the EPCQ memory. Afterward, the FPGA is programmed to access the data from the EPCQ memory to initialize the function of the FPGA. Typically, the bitstream is loaded into the EPCQ memory using a SPI interface.
