LM5046SQ/NOPB Integrated Circuits (ICs)

The LM5046SQ/NOPB is a high performance offline flyback converter with integrated high side and low side power MOSFETs. This monolithic controller offers a simplified design methodology which has the capability of providing a low component count, low cost and low power solution capable of driving a wide range of peripherals including motors.The device is well suited for AC/DC and offline switching applications. It is capable of providing up to 250kHz of switching frequency for either a buck or flyback topology. It also provides high voltage protection, over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), under-voltage lockout (UVLO), thermal fault protection (THF) and an auto-restart feature.The device offers an integrated synchronous power MOSFET gate driver capable of delivering 8A of gate drive current per MOSFET. It also has an integrated voltage regulator to provide up to 15V of gate drive voltage. The gate driver has an adjustable over-voltage protection level which acts as a floating supply for the gate driver.The LM5046SQ/NOPB provides a high efficiency solution due to its single-stage control methodology which allows the converter to operate over a wide input voltage range. The converter allows the output voltage to be programmed as low as 2.5V, with an operating range of up to 600V.The LM5046SQ/NOPB technology is a half-bridge or full-bridge flyback converter.
