Work Principle

This SRAM consists of two parts, the memory array and the control logic. The memory array consists of 4M words, each word being 16 bits wide. The memory array is used to store data and instructions. The control logic is a part responsible for controlling the flow and operation of the memory array.The control logic is made up of an address register, a data register, a memory address decoder and memory control logic. The address register stores the address for accessing the memory array. The data register stores the data that is associated with the address in the address register. The memory control logic controls the data flow in and out of the memory array.CY7C1470BV33-167AXC supports two types of operations, read and write. During a read operation, the address is sent to the address register and the memory address decoder checks the address in the address register and determines the memory location in the memory array. The memory control logic then reads the data from the specified address in the memory array, stores it in the data register and sends it back to the processor. In the write operation, the processor sends the address and data to the address and data registers, respectively. The memory address decoder checks the address in the address register and determines the memory location in the memory array.
