AT24C01C-MAHM-T is a two-wire serial EEPROM that communicates over a two-wire serial bus. This bus consists of an I2C data line (SDA) and an I2C clock line (SCL). The chip has an 8-bit 3-state address port which allows devices to be cascaded on the same two-wire bus. Bits can be written one-by-one and read out over the same two-wire bus. Acknowledge from the IC is generated after each write operation. The I2C serial EEPROM provides 8K bit of data which is organized as 1024x8 bits of storage.

The chip’s EEPROM has a write time of 1ms and a read time of 5ms. The write cycle for the chip is 32 bytes. The write and read cycles are interruptible at any byte boundary. The device also provides a fourth pin, E² or WP which provides either write protection or write enable function. This chip can operate up to 100 kHz or 400 kHz I2C bus.
