It features a temperature-compensated current source (TCS) to provide superior accuracy, low noise, and high reliability. This Linear Voltage Regulator also features an adjustable output voltage range of 1.8V to 6.3V and an adjustable quiescent current of 25 µA to 150 µA.
The ADP1754ACPZ-0.75R7 is a monolithic integrated circuit which provides a low output voltage, low noise, and high accuracy, with a wide range of input voltages and a wide range of output current. The Linear Voltage Regulator consists of an internal P-Channel MOS transistor, a transconductance amplifier, a voltage reference, an LDO pass element, an error amplifier, and an output short-circuit protection circuitry. The P-Channel MOS transistor provides the primary regulation function and is responsible for the low dropout voltage of the Linear Voltage Regulator. The transconductance amplifier increases the output voltage with respect to low load current. The voltage reference provides a reference voltage for the output control and its accuracy is essential for the Linear Voltage Regulator to maintain accurate output voltage. The LDO pass element increases the efficiency of the LDOs whereas the error amplifier provides the control loop to regulate the output voltage. Lastly, the output short-circuit protection circuitry protects against excessive power dissipation.
