The MT88L70AS1 is a Log-Amplitude Linear SDH/SONET Analyzer for STM-4/OC-12 (1.25Gb/s) or STM-16/OC-48 (2.5Gb/s) applications using a frequency-domain technique for fast and accurate measurements. This device is a versatile part and is used in a wide array of telecom applications.
The instrument’s working principle is based on the optical spectrum of the signal input. A tunable laser is used to actively scan the spectrum so that accurate spectrum measurements can be determined. The device captures the optical density of the signal and converts it into a digital stream.
