Introduction VSC8512XJG-03 is an integrated, multi-gigabit technique to transfer high-speed data and Ethernet frames over a variety of physical media. It also allows transfers over long distances without the need for special cables or adapters.ApplicationsThe VSC8512XJG-03 can be widely used in telecommunication applications for long-distance wireless data transmissions and is widely used for wireless LANs. The interface utilizes an innovative multi-Gigabit technology that provides a cost-effective and reliable Ethernet connection over carrier frequencies from 15 kHz to 2.5 GHz.It also supports fiber optical and copper cables, with significant bandwidths depending on the medium. Data rates are up to 10 Gbps over fiber optical and output data rate up to 1000 Mbps over 50Ω copper lines. It is able to provide wide range of electrical data interfaces compatible with many standard products, such as SONET/SDH, Public and Private Networks (PPN), xDSL, LTE Long Term Evolution and others.The VSC8512XJG-03 is designed to support a variety of telecom applications, including VoIP (Voice over IP), IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), and video conferencing. It also enables Ethernet applications over fiber optic lines, such as 10 Gbps Ethernet, Layer 2 control and Layer 3 services.Working principleThe VSC8512XJG-03 works based on the Media Access Control (MAC) protocol and the switching techniques.
