LP5952LC-1.2 is an adjustable, low-dropout linear regulator designed specifically to power portable and wearable products like smartphones and smartwatches. It is part of the PMIC range of voltage regulator, DC/DC convertors, controllers, and load switches and falls under the linear regulators.
This ultra-low quiescent current regulator has an adjustable output with a range of 1.2V to 5.0V and can supply an impressive current of 1.5A. It boosts the system stability and accuracy with the Thermally Enhanced Transistor (TET) and the advanced dynamic voltage drop compensation (DVLC) feature which allows for voltage trimming to enhance power efficiency.
LP5952LC-1.2 also offers a unique power sequence and protection feature which monitors the battery voltage providing an accurate Current Limited and Thermal Foldback for protecting a system during battery brown-out conditions. It also has an over-temperature protection with a 60°C self-resettable latch function.
The LP5952LC-1.2 is designed with low losses to sustain a high efficiency and a very high power density. It uses a wide VIN range of 4.2V to 5.5V and achieves up to 95% efficiency with a very low dropout of just 80mV @1A. It also features low battery quiescent current of 8uA, enabling operations in low-power battery level conditions such as with a 200mAh battery.
