74LCX126SJX is a logic-level translator designed for 12.5V to 3.6V translation. It works with slow edge rates and provides improved noise immunity when compared to logic translator LVTTL (low voltage transistor-transistor logic). It is available in a variety of packages including the TSSOP-16. It provides full compatibility with all popular logic families including CMOS, TTL, and HCT.

Application field and working principle

In its most basic form, the 74LCX126SJX is an excellent choice for level shifter applications. By using the 74LCX126SJX, the user can easily interface two electronic devices with two different logic levels. An example of this would be a computer to an LCD display with a logic level of five volts and the machine connected to that LCD display having a logic level of three volts. The 74LCX126SJX allows electrical signals to be translated from one logic level to another.
