Working Principle

The ATtiny13V-10SU works as a general-purpose microcontroller by following the 8-bit reduced instruction set computer (RISC) instruction set architecture. Working logic functions can be simplified with logical instructions and timer-counters and control functions can be used with independent subroutines. The microcontroller features a 16Kbytes In-System Programmable (ISP) Flash, 512-byte EEPROM and a 1k-byte SRAM.

The microcontroller is powered by an 8-bit central processing unit (CPU), which consists of an arithmetic logic unit (ALU), a stack, a program counter and instructions for processing data. The CPU is connected to the integration of core components, such as 16 general-purpose timer/counters, three Pulse Width Modulators (PWMs), four 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converters, two serial communication modules, four serial I/O ports, an Inter-Integrated Circuit (IIC) bus and a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).

The microcontroller can also be used in various clock generating modes. It includes external, internal, low-power and sleep-clock modes.
