The ADW54003-0 is an Advanced ADLV logic family device designed to be an easy-to-use, low voltage, low power, CMOS Analog Switch Multiplexer/Demultiplexer. The device provides sixteen channels of On/Off control, with a voltage rating up to 3.3 VDC, and a positive logic control that allows for bi-directional operation with two selectable multiplexing/demultiplexing modes: \'ON\', and \'OFF\'. This robust, low voltage, low power multiplexer/demultiplexer is suitable for a wide range of analog switching and multiplexing/demultiplexing operations and is ideal for applications that require multiplexing/demultiplexing of bipolar signal voltages.The core of the ADW54003-0 consists of four switches arranged in two columns, each consisting of two separate switching elements in the device, connected to two-way channels. Each switch is independently controlled by a voltage signal of either the logic high ‘ON’ or logic low ‘OFF’ state. The logic high input signal will turn the switch‘ON’, whereas the logic low input signal will turn the switch ‘OFF’.The ADW54003-0 can be used in multiplexing/demultiplexing applications where it can be used to select any one of sixteen (2*4*4) combinations of 2 two-way outputs with input signals. The device also supports a single \'select\' control that can be used to either multiplex or demultiplex the input signals. In multiplexing mode, each two-way channel of the ADW54003-0 is multiplexed with a select signal and the voltage potential of the connected output is determined by the input signal. In demultiplexing mode, the two-way channels are selected and the corresponding output will be switched depending on the select signal.The ADW54003-0 allows for fast analog switching and provides higher thermal stability compared to conventional analog switches. Additionally, this device provides improved noise immunity, operation from low voltage, low power usage and improved power management in lower voltage applications. Furthermore, the device is not affected by leakage current generated due to doping of other integrated circuits which allows for higher speed operation and improved reliability. The device also contains a low threshold playback mechanism which reduces the reaction time of the analog switch in response to voltage changes, thereby providing faster switching capability for wide band applications.In conclusion, the ADW54003-0 is an easy-to-use, low voltage, low power, CMOS analog switch multiplexer/demultiplexer that is suitable for multiplexing/demultiplexing of bipolar signal voltages, provides fast analog switching and improved power management in lower voltage applications. it generally cost-effective and provides enhanced performance.
