PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) is a type of integrated circuit that is designed to manage the power consumption of a system and/or provide electrical functionality related to power management. The high efficiency and enhanced performance of these power management integrated circuits have made them an essential component of a wide range of electronic systems. The Micrel MIC2588-1YM is one such power management integrated circuit, which is used in Hot Swap controllers.

The Micrel MIC2588-1YM Hot Swap controller is a high performance, dual channel Hot Swap controller. It is designed to provide an efficient means of controlling and managing two independent power paths. The two power paths can be used independently to power different circuits and are capable of supporting up to 25amps of current, allowing for a very robust system.
