CPU of ATMEGA64L-8MJ adopts the 8-bit AVR core and contains 64K bytes of Flash program memory, 4K bytes EEPROM and 2K bytes RAM space. It also has two 8-bit timer/counter, three 16-bit timer/counter, six A/D channels and one USART serial port. The instruction processing speed of the CPU reaches 20MHz while working at maximum power. Besides, the CPU core has built-in watchdog timer, real-time counter and debugging features. The instruction processing speed of peripheral devices can reach 20MHz, which enables it to operate normally even under the highest CPU processing speed.
ATMEGA64L-8MJ has various communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, 10-bit A/D converter, 6-channel A/D converter and various communication ports, thus suitable for a wide range of application fields. In the automotive field, ATMEGA64L-8MJ can be used for electric power steering, eight-channel air-conditioning and airbag control. It can also be used in industrial control fields such as printers, fax machines, drives, numerical controllers and robotic arms. In the medical field, ATMEGA64L-8MJ can be used for medical instruments control such as pulse oximeter, patient monitor etc.
