The MINI54TAN is an 8-bit microcontroller based on the Nuvoton M054 family of IOT chipset. It is the ideal platform for embedded applications such as smart meters, home automation, medical devices, motor control and automotive. When compared to traditional 8-bit microcontrollers, the MINI 54TAN offers a large selection of extension options as well as a higher level of integration. This embedded microcontroller also offers excellent energy efficiency, what makes it a great choice for low-power applications.
The MINI54TAN uses an ARM cortex-M0++ microcontroller core with 128KBytes of flash memory, 16KBytes of SRAM and two UARTs. It also features two I2 accessories (UARTs, SPI,I2C, PWM, etc.) as well as 4 UART, 8 PWM and 8 ADC inputs. Additionally, it offers powerful peripherals like USB and CAN bus, a coprocessor with 12 project pins and more, as well as digital and analog temperature measurement.
Due to its low power consumption and customizable integrated library, the MINI54TAN is well suited for different types of embedded applications. Its low power consumption feature allows it to be used in battery operated or low-power environment applications such as those encountered on medical devices, security systems, electronic locks, vending machines, home appliances, and industrial automation systems, among others.
When it comes to its working principle, the MINI54TAN uses a combination of hardware and software to operate. The hardware components consist of a microcontroller, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and multiple I/O ports.
