The SI5380A-B-GM is a high-performance “four-input” frequency synthesizer that provides synchronous output frequencies ranging from 1 MHz to 200 MHz. This device offers fractional-N as well as integer-N operation, making it suitable for a variety of system clock applications. The SI5380A-B-GM also supports various reference clock inputs, giving it maximum flexibility in various applications.

The SI5380A-B-GM features three output clocks – two Sclk (synchronous) and one asynchronous (Asclk). The Sclk clocks output low jitter (<250ps) synchronous frequencies from 1 MHz to 200 MHz which can be programmed directly via I2C. The programmable frequency range, combined with the low jitter and fast switching enable precise clock synchronization and management at the system level. The asynchronous clock provides a low-jitter, high-frequency source for driving various memory or peripheral devices in the system.

The SI5380A-B-GM also features integrated PLLs, which provides improved jitter performance, frequency planning flexibility and a level of design abstraction which allows integrated system-level design.
