PS9305L-AX Isolators are an effective and reliable Gate Driver specifically designed for Level-Shift, current-limiting, and optical isolation applications. The PS9305L-AX utilizes a novel hybrid construction to maximize device performance while also providing an efficient and inexpensive alternative to traditional Isolators. It operates with an input stage powered by a logic regulation as well as a voltage regulator to provide the required isolation.

The PS9305L-AX utilizes a high-frequency (> 500kHz) single-ended gate drive which can drive up to 12 channels with a maximum 25mA of gate current. The inputs are optically isolated from the outputs using a light-emitting diode and a phototransistor. The LED is driven by the input while the phototransistor controls the output. This provides a voltage isolation barrier of up to 100V. The PS9305L-AX also has a wide common-mode operating range of 0-18V.

The PS9305L-AX also utilizes an advanced level-shift feature to provide a more efficient current-limiting action for the Gate driver.
