Digital isolators use semiconductor-based isolating technology to provide a reliable electrical isolation barrier for effective noise filtering in data transmission and safety requirements for the integrity of signals. The SI8442AB-C-IS1 is one of a range of digital isolators distributed by Silicon Labs, offering up to 8kV of Reinforced Isolation (RI) protection for both the data transmitted as well as the power required to perform the operation. The working principle of the SI8442AB-C-IS1 isolator is based on the fundamentals of digital isolator circuitry.
