Protection relays and systems are essential components of today’s electrical power distribution system. A properly designed system protects personnel, electrical equipment from damage, as well as protects the power system from unnecessary outages. The SE-330AU-07-01 is a 3-phase over/undervoltage monitoring protection system, designed to provide high level of protection to a wide variety of electrical equipment and systems, including LV/HV/UHV networks, reactors, transformers, motors, generators, and other types of electrical equipment.
The SE-330AU-07-01 consists of three parts: the main unit, three auxiliary sensors, and the backing arm. The main unit houses all the necessary components necessary to accurately measure and monitor the over/undervoltage of the electrical equipment. This includes a microprocessor that computes the electrical parameters of the power system on a continuous basis, a current sensor that detects any fluctuations in power supply, and a voltage limit detector. The auxiliary sensors measure temperature, current, and other parameters of the power system to provide an efficient monitoring and protection system.
The SE-300AU-07-01 works by monitoring the electrical parameters of the power system and comparing them with the set parameters in the main unit. When the voltage of the system exceeds the pre-defined upper or lower limits, the microprocessor triggers a relay which then opens to interrupt the power supply. If the overvoltage persists, the backup arm is triggered which automatically switches off the main supply and isolates the equipment to prevent further damage. The microprocessor then activates an alarm to alert of the problem and a reset switch to switch the main power supply back on.
As an added safety feature, the SE-300AU-07-01 also includes a short-circuit protection system. When a short circuit is detected, the system immediately shuts down the power supply and displays an alarm. The backup arm can then be triggered if the short circuit persists, and the main power supply can be reset after the issue has been addressed.
The SE-300AU-07-01 is ideal for protecting sensitive equipment and systems from overload, overvoltage, and short circuit risks. It is able to detect irregularities in the power supply quickly and effectively, making sure that the equipment is safe and that it remains in an ideal operating condition. It is a reliable and economical form of protection and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
