BA3306 application field and working principle
BA3306 is a high fidelity audio power amplifier designed to work in linear mode. It is uses the most advanced linear power amplifier technology available, the output can be regulated for optimum sound quality. BA3306 is a very popular amplifier IC used in many popular amplifier products from big named manufactures like Sony, JVC and Pioneer.The application field of BA3306 is mainly used as an audio amplifier, such as portable audio products, home audio amplifiers, car stereo amplifiers and professional audio amplifiers. Its low harmonic distortion, high power output and wide dynamic range make it a ideal amplifier chip for these audio products. With the help of its built-in protection circuits, BA3306 offers protection against overheating, short circuit, DC offset and false temperature errors. The working principle of BA3306 is based on a linear amplifier. Its input stage is consists of a differential input amplifier which is configured to provide extremely low noise and distortion, the output stage contains a pair of power transistors which are connected in parallel to produce a high power output. The power transistors are driven by an oscillatory circuit which is designed to reduce the switching distortion of the power transistors and provide a smooth transition from one output to the other. In order to achieve optimal performance, the power transistors used in BA3306 are usually matched in pairs and require a specific load resistance in order to achieve maximum power output. The power amplifier is designed to work with a single power supply which provides a regulated current for the input and output stages. The BA3306 also contains an audio pre-amplifier which can be used to boost the signal before it is amplified.The input stage of the BA3306 is capable of providing a very low range of distortion levels and high signal-to-noise ratios.
