When the output voltage reaches the target voltage, the controller switches off the power transistor, and the output voltage is regulated by the Inductor. This regulation cycle repeats continually resulting in a steady output voltage.

The STR-A6259H also integrates multiple protection circuits including over-current, overtemperature, and over-voltage protections. The over-current protection reduces stress on the output stage while the over-voltage protection protects the system from damage due to internal malfunctions or external conditions. Finally, the overtemperature protection is designed to protect the device and the system from damage in case of high junction temperatures.
