The 1N4754CE3/TR13 is a single Zener Diode with a cathode band color indication. It is a three-terminal unidirectional device used to provide a constant voltage. It has a low profile and is suitable for applications where the device must be mounted on the surface of a printed circuit board.

Application Field

The 1N4754CE3/TR13 can be used for many different purposes. Working Principle

When connected in a circuit, the diode allows current to flow in one direction only, and works in reverse-bias condition within the Zener voltage range of 4.7 volts. When an input of greater than 4.7 volts is supplied, the diode provides a constant voltage output, allowing current to pass through the device. The reverse leakage current increases with forward voltage, so the maximum reverse voltage should not exceed 6 volts for optimal results.

The device can also be used to ensure proper current flow from one point in a circuit to another when it is connected in parallel. In this arrangement, current is shared between the two circuit points, so the total current is determined by the blocking capabilities of the 1N4754CE3/TR13. The device will allow current to travel from the higher voltage point to the lower voltage point, thus helping to maintain the desired system level voltage.
