The RS07B-M-08 is a power rectifier diode which belongs to the family of single rectifiers. As one of most commonly used diodes of all time, the RS07B-M-08 is a switching diode with sharp reverse recovery characteristics.The RS07B-M-08 is specifically designed for use in high-frequency rectification applications suitable for devices operating at high switch-speed. It is manufactured using state-of-the-art technology for the best performance and long amount of life cycles.This device is designed for high frequency, low power rectification applications because of its low forward voltage drop and low reverse-recovery charge. This diode works with peak repetitive reverse voltages of 600 V. The total capacitance of the diode is relatively low making it appropriate for high frequency operation. This diode features high efficiency, low reverse-recovery time, fast switching for low power consumption, and low leakage current in reverse bias. It is ideally suited for high-frequency switching and switching applications due to its forward current of 62 A and total power dissipation up to 75 watts.The applications for the RS07B-M-08 are vast, but include automotive electronics, consumer electronics, medical equipment, power supplies, electric and battery chargers, solar inverters, and so on.The working principle of the RS07B-M-08 is based on a pn-junction between p- and n-type semiconductors. An electric current is passed through these two semiconductors and the diode will then act as an open switch in one direction, but blocked in the other direction. This allows for rectification features and the diode provides a unidirectional current in one path of the circuit. This process of “carving” the input signal into a one-way output is accomplished by the RS07B-M-08 typically used in a bridge rectifier circuit by alternating the input signal.
