AD9162-FMC-EBZ Digital to Analog Converters (DACs)AD9162-FMC-EBZ is an evaluation board based on the AD9162 dual, 14-bit, 8 GSPS DAC. The board includes analog and digital tunable inputs as well as the necessary components to quickly evaluate and analyze performance of the AD9162 dual-channel DAC.The board is designed to offer developers the flexibility to explore different DAC architectures. It features a wide range of reference signals and feedback-loop topologies, as well as external wide-bandwidth clocks, flexible analog signal inputs, a wide range of gain and offset solutions, and signal isolation mechanisms.This evaluation board enables low-noise and low-power performance of the AD9162 dual-channel DAC, making it ideal for a wide range of high-performance applications. Applications include: signal processing, radar, communications and test equipment.The AD9162-FMC-EBZ evaluation board enables accelerated prototyping and development of applications that require 14-bit accuracy, low noise, and low power. It includes all of the necessary components and FMC cards, along with the 14-bit, dual-channel AD9162 DAC and fully FMC LPC connector. By leveraging the evaluation board, users can quickly evaluate and optimize the AD9162 for each application.The AD9162-FMC-EBZ features an on-board FPGA enabled with the Analog Devices\' NxN software, which provides easy access to a vast array of digital tuning functions and can be used for any of the supported AD9162 feature options. This evaluation board supports Serial FMCs, including EVB100, MXO-100, and the high-performance evaluation board (HPEB).The AD9162-FMC-EBZ also features an on-board evaluation board FMC-AD9162-EBZ connected to a pin-grid-array (PGA) for developer convenience. The PGA includes input and output nodes for data, control, and reference clocks. The board also supports an optional external 10 MHz clock input to provide the user with faster tuning for different applications. AD9162-FMC-EBZ is designed and tested to meet the requirements of the AD9162 signals generated from the on-board FMC connector and PGA.The AD9162-FMC-EBZ evaluation board contains two PGA connections to an evaluation board, enabling the evaluation process of the AD9162. The first connection is used to connect the evaluation board with the AD9162\'s analog and digital tuning signals, while the second connection attaches an external 10MHz clock for tuning.The AD9162-FMC-EBZ evaluation board supports the full-speed mode of the AD9162, which is the maximum rate at which data can be sent using the AD9162. This mode provides flexible speed and power operational parameters to the user, enabling the user to conveniently switch between low-speed and high-speed operations. Plus, the integrated evaluation board has an adjustable gain and offset adjustments, allowing users to fine-tune the signal characteristics.To further support the user’s needs, the AD9162-FMC-EBZ includes an ADAC board - a board with two dual-channel ADCs. The ADAC board is connected to the FMC connector of the AD9162-FMC-EBZ evaluation board and provides direct access to the AD9162’s DAC output. This feature allows the user to perform real-time validation of the AD9162’s response characteristics, allowing for swift and accurate evaluation and tuning of the AD9162.The AD9162-FMC-EBZ evaluation board\'s analog signal inputs can accept differential or single-ended signals from a variety of sources, while the digital inputs can accept differential and single-ended signals from JESD204b serial lanes. These inputs are connected directly to the AD9162.
