The device is intended for single-supply operation from a 3.3V source and is capable of driving data conversion rates up to 1MSPS.When a signal is applied, the signal is sampled and compared with the reference voltage. The comparison is done by the SAR converter and the ADC outputs the most accurate digital representation of the input. The ADC also employs Auto-Zero and Auto-Calibration features that increase the accuracy and conversion speed of the device. Furthermore, the device has a wide power supply range and a minimum one differential or 8 single-ended input, making it suitable for most applications.The ADS54J42EVM evaluation board provides many features and capabilities for testing and evaluating the performance of the ADS54J42. The board is provided with a high-resolution LCD, which enables users to view real-time input signals and output data conversion results. The board also comes with an Apalis IQ008, which powers the device and allows users to access the device via a web-based GUI. The board has numerous I/O connectors such as USB, Ethernet, and I2C to enable connection with other systems and equipment.The flexibility of the board enables it to be used in diverse applications.
