SLW-147-01-T-S is a rectangular connector and a sub-category of headers, receptacles, and female sockets. It is a blocked pin multiple-row type plug designed for high-density connection applications. It has low profile interlocking connections and mounting polarization for easy installation and reliable contact.

SLW-147-01-T-S ( header style, single-row, 14 contacts ) is designed mainly for connecting two PCBs. The pitch of this type of connector is 0.5 mm, which makes it more suitable for space sensitive applications. SLW-147-01-T-S header connector has terminals made of brass, which has a higher electrical conductivity than other materials. The mechanical contacts of SLW-147-01-T-S header are pre-loaded by leaf springs to ensure a secure mating connection. Gold plating on the contacts provides excellent corrosion protection and high-speed signal transmission.

SLW-147-01-T-S connector has two parts – the header and the receptacle. The header side of the connector consists of a rectangular housing and a plastic insulator. A single row of pins is mounted in the plastic insulator. The receptacle side is the part that is inserted into the header and has insulation walls mounted on both sides of the connector housing. The pins from the header side are inserted into mating cavities in the receptacle side.

The working principle of SLW-147-01-T-S connectors is quite simple. When two PCBs are coupled together, the header and the receptacle go through a mating process. The contacts of the header side are inserted into their corresponding cavities of the receptacle side.
