PTC Resettable Fuses are special type of fuses that are used in electronics, power supplies, high current applications, and other similar areas. RUEF135-1 is a self-resetting PTC fuse that is designed for suppressing transient currents in highly mobile electrical equipment. It is highly reliable, compact, and innovative.
RUEF135-1 works on the principle of self-resetting. In the event of a surge in current, an internal circuit breaker is activated and the fuse breaks the circuit, thereby preventing the current from exceeding a certain level. RUEF135-1 is suitable for use in media such as low voltage power supplies, high voltage power supplies, medical equipment, automotive applications, computer equipment, and communications applications. It is also suitable for use in environments with high pulse repetition frequency (PRF).
RUEF135-1 can be used in two different modes: normal open (NO) and normally closed (NC). In NO mode, the device will open the circuit in response to an overload or a surge. In NC mode, the device will keep the circuit closed until a malfunction or short circuit occurs, at which point it will automatically open the circuit. This feature is especially useful for preventing backflow of current in cases where the load is not symmetrical.
