The ATSAMHA1G16A-XPRO embedded evaluation board is capable of running an Analogue-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) application as well as a variety other MCU, DSP and embedded development applications. The board provides an 8-bit Atmel SAM microcontroller with up to 512Kbytes of Flash and SRAM, 32Kbytes of ROM, and a Cortex-M0 core for real-time control.
For embedded development, the board contains a wide range of peripherals, including USB OTG (Host/Device); SPI, I2C and UART; 24-bit and 32-bit timers; up to 8 PWM outputs; ADC with 12 bits resolution; and three 16-bit timers for various applications. Additionally, the board includes a large GPIO with 10 ports, each of which can accept up to 8 bits of data and generate up to 24 general purpose I/O. The peripherals on board enable intuitive transfer of data to and from various memory and media interfaces, such as SPI Flash, SD Card, SPI EEPROM, and other external memory devices.
For embedded applications, the board can be used to leverage the Atmel SAM microcontroller’s digital signal processing capabilities.
