Working Principle

The SN74LV4046APWR generates clocks and data signals using a dual-loop, four-channel PLL. The device receives the reference clock, generates the CLK0 and CLK1 outputs, programs any the frequency dividers and provides the resulting frequencies to the PLL inputs. Initially, the PLL acquires the reference clock\'s frequency. Once PLL has acquired the reference, it continues to track the input clock and adjust the outputs accordingly.
