RX-8035SA:B PURE SN R Application Field and Working Principle

The RX-8035SA:B PURE SN R (Super Nano Real-Time Clock) is an ultra-small clock for use in a variety of embedded systems. This clock has a very low power consumption rate of only 0.5µA in standby mode, and the operating temperature range is between -40℃ and 85℃. This means that the RX-8035SA:B is highly suitable for space-constrained and temperature-sensitive applications like GPS & automotive systems.The RX-8035SA:B combines two clock functions in one device, namely a Super-Nano Real-Time Clock (SN R) and a Real-Time Clock (RTC). The SN R is used to keep track of the current real-time by counting seconds, while the RTC is used to store values of the real-time that are set by the user. The RTC has two internal RAM registers, a first register (TR1) and a second register (TR2), both of which are used to store time-related values for future reference. The RX-8035SA:B also has a built-in low-cost watch crystal oscillator (Oscillator), which has a frequency accuracy of +/- 3ppm at a temperature of 20℃. This Oscillator ensures that the time is accurately tracked and maintained by the SN R and RTC registers, even when the power supply is off.The Clock/Timing function of the RX-8035SA:B is implemented using four types of integrated RTC functions. The first type is the time-stamp-measurement function which stores the timing information. The second type is the periodic interrupt function which fires an interrupt every time a user-defined interval has elapsed. The third type is the alarm interrupt function which fires an interrupt when a user-defined alarm is triggered. Finally, the fourth type is the periodic timer reset function which restarts the timer\'s count when a specific elapsed period has been reached.Besides the Clock/Timing function, the RX-8035SA:B also contains several other features such as an integrated ultra-low-voltage detector which can detect the supply voltage and then determine if the system should enter power-saving mode. Additionally, there is an integrated reset function which allows the RX-8035SA:B to reset the entire system when needed.In conclusion, the RX-8035SA:B is an ultra-small, low-power consuming clock module that is suited for embedded applications.
