LC4128C-5T128I Application Field And Working Principle
Embedded CPLDs (Complex Programmable Logic Devices) are widely utilized for system-on-a-chip (SOC) designs. LC4128C-5T128I is a single-chip design based on a Xilinx programmable logic technology which can realize embedded CPLD features. Various applications are possible in this technology, such as video and data processing, signal conditioning and signal synthesis applications.
The LC4128C-5T128I is a low-power, low cost, high-performance CPLD based on Xilinx XC4000XL architecture. It integrates an array of configurable logic blocks plus memory, distributed RAM, DSP capabilities and interconnects, making it a single-chip solution for embedded designs. Its programmable architecture enables designers to optimize the design with reduced complexity, speed, and power consumption.
The programmable logic portion of the LC4128C-5T128I consists of five devices, with each providing 128 logic elements (10-inputs and 86-outputs) and up to 32k bits of configurable RAM. The logic elements can be used to create logic functions using a variety of simple and advanced boolean operations, including XOR and XNOR operations. The RAM can be used to store data, program instructions, and control signals. The memory is organized as two 16K-word blocks, and can be accessed in two independent ways, using up to four 16K-block addressing modes.

In addition to expanded logic functions, the devices also feature multi-threaded design options and system-level synchronous reset and asynchronous wake-up. Furthermore, the logic core has enhanced synchronous command capability, providing flexible control of logic functions.
The LC4128C-5T128I\'s fast I/Os range from 6ns to 20ns, allowing for a wide range of applications including data and application acceleration. The high speed transceivers provide additional bandwidth and high signal robustness for additional design flexibility.
