It features a local voltage feedback loop and a high-side external MOSFET switch. This combination provides an aggressive approach to current sensing that allows for a smooth start-up and a low input current even under extreme line conditions. The UCC28516NG4 is particularly useful in applications that require reliable, high current, and accurate control of a power supply’s output voltage.The UCC28516NG4 is equipped with an oscillator that switches a MOSFET at a frequency determined by a resistor connected to the oscillator.
