Motion Sensors - Gyroscopes are sensor devices used to measure angular rate or angular velocity. The ADXRS453BRGZ is a Programmable High Performance Digital Output Gyroscope. It is designed to measure the angular rate of rotation in navigation, control and articulated systems. This device has an on-chip low pass filter with adjustable bandwidth and user selectable temperature auxiliary output. It is ideal for high speed stabilization & navigation applications.The ADXRS453BRGZ has a wide bandwidth and excellent noise suppression over its entire measurement range. It offers high accuracy, low offsets, low drift, and excellent linearity with wide bandwidth stability over temperature. It features a user-enabled temperature readout, which enables temperature corrections in the application. The ADXRS453BRGZ offers multiple interface options, including both SPI and Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) communication protocols. It features dual on-chip low pass filters with a full-scale range of 0 to 720 degrees per second (dps), which allows for higher stability in high speed applications. It has a 20-micron-diameter beam laser spot size, which provides excellent noise suppression.The ADXRS453BRGZ consists of an integrated piezoresistive gyroscope, a linearizing integrated circuit, a controller for onboard signal processing, and an output interface. Its advanced signal processing includes an on-chip low-pass filter, an amplitude scaler, an auto-zeroing and temperature read-out. The on-chip filter helps to eliminate the influence of any external changing noise sources. The amplitude scaler minimizes motion noise from small angular velocity changes by expanding the dynamic range as needed.The ADXRS453BRGZ has a wide operating temperature range, from -40°C to +125°C, and can reach rates up to 42,000 dps. It has a low current consumption, low power consumption and low interface noise, which makes it ideal for low power applications. It also has a low linearization error and high accuracy for measurement.The ADXRS453BRGZ is also highly resistant to shock and vibration, providing reliable performance in both free and constrained mounting configurations. It is housed in a hermetically sealed package and is designed to meet or exceed industry standards for reliability and performance.
