0936013038 is an electrochemical oxidation reduction (EOR) technology for controlling and influencing microbial population in any water system. This technology is used to reduce the effect of shock loadings such as organic matter, nutrient loading, and bacterial-caused disorders. The technology works by applying a low current electrical stimulus to the water which in turn causes the oxidation of naturally occurring ions in the water. This oxidation causes an increase in the amount of available electrons in the water, which then serves as an effective electron donor to reduce the microbial population by removing available electrons from metabolically active organisms.
EOR treatments can be used in many different applications. It can be used for municipal water systems and industrial wastewater treatment systems, swimming pools, decorative water fountains, cooling systems, leachate solutions, and water storage tanks. This technology is also well-suited for water treatment in small scale applications such as residential drinking water systems, private and public sanitary systems, ponds, lakes, and wells.
The working principle of EOR technology is based on the concept of oxidation-reduction reactions. Oxidation-reduction reactions take place when electron shells of unstable particles, called oxidizing agents, react with electron shells of more stable particles, referred to as reducing agents. In the EOR process, the electrical stimulus is used to cause oxidation of available oxidizing agents in the water, such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and sulfates. The oxidation of these unstable particles causes an increase in the concentration of available electrons in the water and induces a reduction reaction with bacteria.
The reduction of bacteria causes them to use the available electrons from the oxidation process in place of electron donors provided through metabolic processes. This effectively reduces their energy potential which ultimately causes them to die. The reduction process continues until all of the electrons are used up and the oxidative stress on the bacteria has been relieved. This process also reduces the amount of organic and non-organic matter present in the water.
The efficiency of 0936013038 EOR technology can be greatly improved through the addition of additional oxidants or reducing agents to the water prior to or during the reduction process. For example, the addition of an aeration device will increase the oxidation rate for certain compounds while the addition of chlorine will improve the speed and efficacy of the reduction process. Additionally, the introduction of biological agents such as beneficial bacterias can further improve the effectiveness of this technology.
EOR technology offers a low-cost alternative to traditional water treatment systems. It is relatively easy to install and maintain, and can reduce both operating and capital costs.
