Arcing detection can be done with optical detection or electrical current detection, according to the application.

Label holders are also used to visualize the patch connections between terminal blocks. Effective labeling ensures an easy way to identify terminals and their destinations. It also helps in case of maintenance, as the connection can be traced easily by the label. Label holders are made of plastic, glass, or metal and some come with a transparent window for easy visibility.
