24AA16-E/MS is an I2C, 16K-bit Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) designed for storing and retrieving data from a wide variety of applications. EEPROM memory is a type of non-volatile memory. Unlike volatile memory such as volatile RAM, EEPROM retains data when power is removed. Working Principle

The primary function of the 24AA16-E/MS is to store program and data. This is done by using 128Kbits of memory, which is divided into eight blocks of 1024 bytes each. Data stored in the memory can be read, written, erased, and protected using the I2C Serial Interface protocol. It also includes an 8-bit address pointer. Writing data sequentially will result in the data being written sequentially at the address pointer, increasing the address pointer by one each time.

The 24AA16-E/MS supports one external input pin, which is used to write data to the memory. When this pin is asserted, the data is written to the memory. This pin is both power and reset, which is only active if the internal oscillator is enabled. Data is written in the same order in which it is sent, with the address pointer increasing each time data is written.
