Aluminum - Polymer CapacitorsAluminum - Polymer capacitors are the most advanced type of aluminum electrolytic capacitors available in the market today. These capacitors are made up of two parts: an aluminum core and a polymer layer. The aluminum core is responsible for the actual conduction of charge while the polymer layer acts as an insulation layer. This type of capacitor has some significant advantages over traditional aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The main advantages of Aluminum - Polymer capacitors are their high voltage rating, low leakage current and high reliability. These capacitors can handle high voltage up to 200 volts (V). Moreover, the reliability of these capacitors is also higher than traditional aluminum electrolytic capacitors.The working principle of aluminum - polymer capacitors is based on a “liquid-electrolyte” concept.
