The A3940KLWTR is a main stream of power management integrated circuit. It implements three DC/DC control schemes for motor applications: full-step drive, 1/2 or 1/4 step drive, and microstepping drive. Using the A3940KLWTR for motion control applications provides current sensing capabilities, or output programming and provides protection features such as over-current, under-voltage lockout, thermal protection, and over-temperature shutdown. It also features voltage ranging from 4V to 40V, sleep mode and enable control, internal OP amp and comparator, current sensing and feed-forward, over-current protection and programmable non-overlap driver control.
