The A4931MET-T is a four channel monolithic high drive MOSFET power IC designed for automotive motor control applications. It enables highly efficient motor control and power management solutions, with a fully integrated voltage-mode control function and direct connection to power FETs or IGBTs. As a PMIC - Motor Drivers, Controllers, it is designed to provide direct current (DC) motor control and power management solutions. Its features include protection functions such as Over Temperature (OTP) Shutdown, Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP).
The A4931MET-T is capable of controlling and managing the power of up to four motors, giving efficient and reliable operation. This can be done either independently or in combination with embedded microprocessors and/or field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The maximum PWM current rating is 6A and the maximum PWM voltage rating is 12V. It integrates a 4-channel low-side FET driver, four high-side FET drivers and four power bypass FETs. Integrated gate drivers manage the gate signals for each of the four FETs, and a low quiescent current current-mode control pre-driver is also included.
The control interface of this integrated device operates via SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) or a parallel-input control register. The digital PWM control inputs and the voltage feedback input of the A4931MET-T support both current-mode and voltage-mode motor control, making it suitable for a wide range of motor control applications. It also features onboard fault sensing, over temperature protection and undervoltage lockout, ensuring reliable and safe operation.
